Meet the Team
The Faces of Our Organization

Isabel Quinilla Perez
Outreach Team
Isa is a woman with many culinary skills, she loves cooking and knows the time women invest to prepare food and what it means to suffer from the problems caused by inhaling smoke from open fires. With her experience and knowledge she became one of TRL’s educators and advocate for environmental conservation and technology adaptation. Isa is responsible for promoting and empowering women in the use of the Onil stove. With her open and friendly manner, she communicates the benefits of the stoves for the families and the environment.

Candy Reanda Sosof
Outreach Team
Ruth Candelaria Reanda Sosof (everyone calls her “Candy”) is a Tz’utujil Maya resident of Tzanchaj, a neighborhood of Santiago Atitlan. Candy has a B.A. in Social Work. In the short time that Candy has been with TRL, she has demonstrated a rapid adaptability to working in the community with an extraordinary level of acceptance by our beneficiaries. After an analysis Candy made of the impacts of TRL’s stove project, she realized the astonishing benefits of the project and how successfully families have adapted to the new reality enabled by having an ONIL stove. Candy says she is passionate about the work of TRL and that “without a doubt, the stove project represents a respite for Nature and relief to the pockets of the stove owners.”

Cameron M Krummel
Administrator
Cameron came from the United States to live in Santiago Atitlán at the age of 5, where he fell in love with the place and its people and has always enjoyed making friends with the locals. Fluent in Tz’utujil which he learned as a child, he understood the situation of the community and its needs, so he co-founded the association Tu’ik Ruch’ Lew/Helping the Earth, contributing his knowledge to protect the precious ecosystems and contributing to a better quality of life for the villagers. He is currently the administrator of the association and still spends time in the field with the outreach team.

Heman Equite
Accountant
Heman is passionate about sports and the environment and likes to apply the knowledge he has acquired through his professional studies to contribute to the needs of the community. A dedicated and responsible collaborator, he is the hardworking and efficient accountant for Tui’k Ruch’ Lew. Heman is so impressed with the ONIL stoves that he has learned how to install them and often joins the team on home visits to help with installations.
